Parker, CO - James Fielding Moore, Jr. (Jim) was born on October 16, 1934 in Denver, Colorado to Grace and Fielding Moore. He was a graduate of
East High School and the University of Denver. He was married to Jennie Lea Pedicord on June 20, 1956, and was the father of Mark (Teri), Ginger (Ben) Ayotte, and Katie (Rick)Morris. He was also the grandfather of Wade Moore (Stacey), and Spencer Moore, Peyton and Brady Ingalls, and Hadley Morris, and the great grandfather of Jayden Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fielding and Grace Pruitt Moore.
As a Colorado native, Jim spent his younger years in Denver, his middle years in Arapahoe County, and lived in Douglas County, south of Parker, for the last 35 or so years of his life.
Entrepreneurship ran in the family, and he took over his father's manufacturing business at an early age. After selling Moore & Hansen in the 1980s his "retirement" was short lived. Jim founded Stablemaster Products in 1990. It continues to be a successful business.
Jim was an active member of the Littleton Rotary Club for many years. He joined the Round Up Riders of the Rockies in 1983, and was a member emeritus on the RRR board. Through the years, Jim was the recipient of several awards in that organization for his service to others, as well as his horsemanship.
Jim was a kind and gentle soul, and he will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Ride easy!
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
