James Lewis Brookman (Jim - Butch)
March 6, 1942 - May 28, 2026
James Lewis Brookman (Jim - Butch) passed away on May 28th, 2026 at his home in Caddo Gap, Arkansas age 84. He was born in Washington, D.C. March 6th, 1942 to Anna Ruth Keys Brookman and James Henry Brookman. He graduated from Washington Lee High School in Arlington VA. Jim joined the Air Force and was stationed at Mitchell Air Force Base in New York. After leaving the service, he found a career working for the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center from which he retired. He moved from Colorado to Arkansas to be closer to his children.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his brother Rev. Robert Brookman, Catonsville MD, his sister Beverly Rampey and her family, Elizabeth CO, his daughter Paula Brookman Jester (Randy, children Derek and Star) Norman AR, his son Richard James Brookman, children Sebastian and Samantha, Greenbriar AR, his stepsons: Russell Willoughby (Amee) children R.J, Summer and Mason, and grandson Abel, Jason Garrett (Rolna & daughter Leah), and Bradley Garrett, Colorado. A memorial service will be on Monday, July 6th.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
