Evergreen, CO - Curtis Townsend, born March 5, 1933, in Bakersfield, California, passed away on April 25, 2026 peacefully at home in Evergreen, surrounded by his family, at the age of 93.
He is survived by his wife, Patti, and his son, Kenny. His daughter, Tracy, preceded him in death.
Curt earned a degree in civil engineering from UC Berkeley and a master's degree in environmental engineering from Montana State University. He served in the U.S. Army as a surveyor in Iran.
Curt spent his career with the National Park Service. His work took his family to many beautiful places throughout the western United States before they settled in Evergreen in 1976.
A celebration of life will be held on May 9th, 2026 at 12 PM at Mount Vernon Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Craig Hospital.
