Bob Lundock Obituary

Littleton, CO - Robert (Bob) Henry Lundock, age 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

Born May 29, 1936, Bob was the youngest of six children in a farming family in Fort Morgan, CO. Unbeknownst to him at the time, he grew up on a farm adjacent to his first wife, Marilyn Schneider.

The family moved to the Denver area where Bob graduated from Englewood High School and was a state champion wrestler. He achieved a full athletic scholarship to the University of Northern Colorado but left after the first year to start a family and begin a lifelong trucking career.

Already considered a family trade, he trucked many decades alongside his son, also named Bob, where he was affectionately referred to by friends and colleagues as "Senior." At times a larger-than-life figure, a few of his feats included zipping through the halls of his high school on a dirtbike, nearly escaping serious injury in a catastrophic truck accident while hauling dynamite and riding into the Goblet bar on horseback.

Bob had a distinct love for community. He was a faithful member of the Littleton Elks Lodge for over 50 years and rarely missed a high school reunion. Living in Littleton nearly his whole life, he always ran into a friend or an acquaintance wherever he went.

He was a capable horseman and enjoyed life outdoors camping, hunting and fishing. He had a great enthusiasm for the American cowboy and western culture. Having already seen most of the United States trucking, he enjoyed world travel well into his retirement. He frequented diners, regularly met with friends over coffee, loved strawberry milkshakes and there probably wasn't a western movie that he hadn't seen.

Bob Sr. is survived by his son Robert Joe Lundock, daughter Vicki Lynn Lundock Runyan, and his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Lundock; Son Gary Lundock; Parents Joseph and Cleo Lundock.

Bob lived a long life full of triumphs, setbacks, hard work and heartbreak. He's what many people would consider one of the last old timers. He will be remembered for his strength, resilience and playful charm.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor Saturday May 30, 2026 at the Littleton Elks Lodge, 5749 S Curtis St. 4:00PM to 7:00PM
